I have many years of experience having worked as a Producer, Director and Editor in Hawaii, Los Angeles, New York City, New Orleans and Atlanta. From Entertainment to Commercial Production, from News and Music Videos to Documentaries, I’ve worked in every production genre, editing and producing Features, Trailers, TV Spots, Promos, Sizzle Reels, Featurettes, Vignettes, EPKs, News, Sports, Music Videos, DVD & Web Content, Documentaries, Television Production: Episodic and Reality, Commercial Spots and much more. I possess a strong background in music which has influenced my cutting style.
Starting at an early age growing up in Los Angeles, I began to take an interest in film production – shooting, directing and editing my first film at the age of 11, and then continuing to immerse myself in film and TV production throughout high school and university, garnering a few awards along the way.
Upon moving to Hawaii, I began working at local TV stations and continued making filmmaking. I gained a wealth of experience producing, directing, shooting and editing on both local and national productions. A year after creating a local public access surf show called “H30-TV”, it was picked up by the local Fox Network and then shortly was syndicated nationally on ESPN / Prime Ticket.
Upon returning to Los Angeles in 1999, I spent the first six months editing infommercials. Later that year, Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) hired me as their Senior Marketing Editor shortly after hiring me as a freelance editor for the HBO First Look special entitled “The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc”. Other HBO & Starz specials I created were for “Spider-Man”, “The Panic Room”, “The Smurfs”, “Vertical Limit” and many others. One year later at SPE, while editing a scene for Comic-Con at Spider-Man Editorial, Sam Raimi personally recruited me to work as the Associate Picture Editor on the Spider-Man trilogies, editing all the montages for the films as well as working on many other scenes. I worked closely with Sam to create the international cuts for all three films, personally editing and overseeing the entire post-production process from start to finish. During my 12 years at Sony Pictures Entertainment Marketing, I worked on over 100 films, creating hundreds of hours of content and working closely with all major talent, producers and directors that came through the studio.
After 3 seasons as an editor for 20th Television on both Divorce Court and Judge Alex, I spent 2 seasons with Quark Entertainment as a Producer/Editor on Flip My Food. During that period, I also worked as an editor for NBC Dateline, The Today Show and Nightly News. In 2015, I moved to New Orleans and continued another season on Flip My Food. I then worked as a Producer/Editor for two crime shows called “It Takes a Killer” and “Corrupt Crimes”. Thereafter, I worked as a Producer/Editor for a voice talent show called “Sing Like A Star.” In 2018 I moved to Atlanta to work on Lauren Lake’s Paternity Count and Couple’s Court with the Cutlers for 2 seasons. While on hiatus, I worked at CBS New York on “Whistleblower.” In 2020 I worked on two true crime shows: “Your Worst Nightmare,” (ID Channel) and “Injustice With Nancy Grace,” (Oxygen). In August 2020 I began on Divorce Court (Season 22) and finished in January 2021. In February 2021 I started working with ViacomCBS 48Hours out of New York (remotely).
As an editor, I have a strong background in producing, directing, cinematography and music. As a “Preditor” (Producer/Editor), I am able to edit quickly, efficiently and creatively. I am very easy-going and collaborate extremely well with everyone.
